About this role
Fennies Day Nurseries is seeking flexible early years educators to work on a zero-hours contract basis, stepping in to provide additional support across their Richmond nurseries as needed. This is ideal if you want to choose when and how often you work—whether that's a few shifts weekly, occasional cover, or something that adapts around other commitments like study or family responsibilities. You'll earn up to £14 per hour and gain experience across different rooms and age groups within the Fennies group.
The role involves supporting children's learning and development through engaging activities, delivering education aligned with EYFS and Birth to 5 Matters frameworks, and collaborating with permanent staff to maintain high standards of care and safeguarding. You'll need a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above), strong knowledge of early childhood development, and GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or equivalent. Beyond qualifications, Fennies values adaptability, enthusiasm, and genuine warmth in working with children and families.
Bennies offers practical perks alongside flexibility: free daily meals from their café, BUPA wellbeing support, a £500 referral bonus, and regular team celebrations. As a family-owned organisation, they emphasise creating a supportive culture where educators can focus on quality care and education. If you're an experienced early years professional seeking schedule flexibility without sacrificing a genuine team environment, this bank role could be a strong fit.
