About this role

At Esri, this role bridges the rail transportation industry and GIS technology marketing. You'd serve as the primary industry expert connecting with rail sector users and prospects, developing campaigns and content that demonstrate how GIS solves real problems in that market. The work spans research, strategy, event management, and hands-on content creation—from webinars and case studies to social media and technical papers—while collaborating across marketing, sales, product, and professional services teams.

The position requires at least five years in transportation or rail specifically, combined with solid GIS knowledge and strong communication skills across written, verbal, and presentation formats. You'll need to be organized and self-directed, comfortable with travel to industry conferences and events, and able to shift priorities as campaigns and stakeholder needs evolve. A bachelor's degree in planning, GIS, geography, or related field is expected.

This is an in-office role in Philadelphia with a base salary range of $96,096 to $153,296, plus Esri's standard benefits package including health coverage, 401(k) matching, and substantial paid time off. It suits someone with genuine rail industry experience who wants to deepen their GIS expertise while helping shape how that technology is marketed and adopted in the sector.
