About this role

Taco Family of Companies is seeking an Industrial Electrician I for first-shift, on-site work at their Cranston facility. This role involves hands-on installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems across both building infrastructure and production machinery. You'll spend your time troubleshooting equipment using schematics and diagnostic tools, replacing components like motor starters and contactors, running electrical tests, and managing work orders in their computerized maintenance system. The position requires you to balance technical precision with responsiveness—completing projects to code standards, meeting deadlines, and responding promptly to maintenance calls.

The role demands a Rhode Island Journeyperson Electrician License and OSHA 10 certification, plus at least four years of hands-on electrical experience ideally in manufacturing. You'll need working knowledge of PLCs, relays, controls, and industrial equipment, along with proficiency using volt-ohm meters and other diagnostic equipment. Physical capability matters here—you'll climb ladders, work at heights using scissor lifts, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly. An Associate Degree in Electrical or Electronics Technology is preferred but not required.

Taco emphasizes employee development and community; the company offers tuition reimbursement, on-site training, profit sharing, and competitive benefits. This is a straightforward technical role with no supervisory responsibilities, suited to someone with solid manufacturing electrical experience who works well independently and as part of a team.
