Responsibilities:
- Provide effective individual psychiatric care via telehealth in an outpatient setting.
- Provide direct patient care, conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications as necessary.
- Ensure that all patient care is delivered in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- We are not affiliated with any hospitals or clinics; enjoy the autonomy of practicing in the best interest of the patient without corporate administrative interference.
- We are a growing team consisting of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and therapists.
- Clinical work is performed from home, days and hours are per the clinician's choosing (this includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.). Clinical team meetings are also virtual.
- Clinical conferences are held four times a week. It is required that you attend at least one per week for the first 90 days of employment; after that, it is required that you attend one monthly.
Job Requirements:
- Must have a PMHNP license and open to licensing in alternative states.
- 1+ years of experience as a PMHNP required
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of healthcare professionals.
- Strong computer and technology skills
- Strong clinical background in psychiatry
- Strong background in the diagnosis of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments and familiarity with non-pharmacological interventions
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.

BlueSky Telepsych is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to deliver psychiatric care entirely through telehealth in an outpatient setting. You'll conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage medications while working from home on a schedule you design—whether that's mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays. The role emphasizes clinical autonomy and evidence-based practice without the administrative overhead of hospital or clinic affiliation, though you'll participate in virtual clinical conferences (at least weekly for your first 90 days, then monthly).
This position suits someone with at least one year of PMHNP experience who has strong grounding in psychiatric diagnosis, psychopharmacology, and non-pharmacological interventions. You'll need solid technology skills, the ability to collaborate with psychiatrists and therapists on a distributed team, and excellent communication and organizational abilities. A current PMHNP license is required, with openness to obtaining licensure in additional states as needed.
The hourly range is $70–$100 USD. This is an in-office position based in Charlotte, North Carolina, though clinical work itself is performed remotely.
