About this role
Hut 8 is building large-scale data centers for AI and advanced computing, and this Principal role in Corporate Development sits at the center of that expansion. You'd support the Head of Corporate Finance by evaluating and executing strategic initiatives—financing, investments, joint ventures, and M&A—across the company's AI infrastructure, colocation, and energy ecosystem. This is a hands-on position with direct exposure to senior leadership and board-level decisions, offering a clear trajectory to drive these initiatives yourself.
The work spans financial modeling and deal execution. You'll build detailed models for data center developments and GPU procurement, run scenario analyses on capital structures, and prepare valuation materials for executives and the board. On the transaction side, you'll manage the full lifecycle from screening through closing, own valuation workstreams (DCF, comps, unit economics), track AI and hyperscaler trends, and coordinate due diligence across internal teams and external advisors. The role demands strong financial modeling skills, fluency in corporate finance and transaction mechanics, and a genuine interest in data center and AI infrastructure economics.
You should have 1–3 years in investment banking (tech, digital infrastructure, or energy), private equity, infrastructure funds, or corporate development in tech or utilities. A quantitative degree and the ability to communicate clearly with senior executives and external partners are essential. The position is based in-office at Hut 8's Miami headquarters in Brickell, and the company offers standard benefits including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.
