About this role
Artisan Partners' Trade Operations team is building out its Portfolio Oversight Analyst role to manage the technical and operational backbone of investment compliance across the firm's global trading desks. You'd spend your days coding client investment guidelines into order management systems, fielding trading desk questions about portfolio constraints and regulatory limits, and maintaining the data pipelines that feed compliance reporting to vendors like Bloomberg and FactSet. The work blends structured compliance tasks—proxy voting administration, regulatory filings, client due diligence questionnaires—with judgment calls on how to interpret investment policies and resolve real-time trading issues, including participation in an overnight on-call rotation supporting global markets.
This role suits someone with at least five years in financial services who combines technical competency with business acumen. You'll need strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize across competing demands in a fast-paced environment. Experience with fixed income or derivatives, regulatory reporting (especially global substantial shareholder limits), and familiarity with Aladdin or similar order management systems would be valuable. SQL and Python experience is preferred but not required. The position is based in San Francisco and requires in-office presence, with availability through evening processing windows and occasional late-night on-call shifts.
