About this role

CompuNet is looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to bridge pre-sales and post-sales work in data center environments. You'd spend roughly half your time designing infrastructure solutions—building system designs, bills of materials, and statements of work—and the other half implementing those designs and training customers on deployed systems. The role demands fluency across converged infrastructure, storage, virtualization (vSphere and Hyper-V), cloud platforms, and data protection tools like Veeam and Cohesity, though you won't need expertise in every technology listed.

Success here requires strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for both IT teams and business stakeholders, the ability to juggle multiple customer projects simultaneously, and a collaborative mindset with both internal sales teams and manufacturer partners. You'll travel 25–50% depending on client needs. The position is based in Anchorage and requires in-office work. CompuNet emphasizes employee investment and offers competitive compensation including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, profit-sharing, and PTO.

This role suits someone with 8+ years of infrastructure experience who can work independently, solve problems in ambiguous situations, and genuinely care about customer outcomes. You should be willing to maintain certifications and expand your technical knowledge over time.
