About the Role:

Join a growing leader in third-party logistics as our next Warehouse Manager at Source Logistics. In this pivotal role based at our strategic Laredo, Texas facility, you will directly oversee all daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory control, while leading, motivating, and scheduling a diverse department team. We are seeking a process-driven leader with at least 7 years of warehousing experience, a specialized background in Food and Beverage logistics, and mandatory bilingual fluency in English and Spanish to seamlessly connect with our workforce and support our mission of expanding market presence for global enterprises across the United States.

We have over 5.6 million square feet of warehouse space, strategically located throughout the US to provide our clients the ability to easily service their customers. Our warehouses are located in Los Angeles, CA; N. Monroe, NJ; Portland, OR; Houston; Chicago; IL and Laredo TX.

Responsibilities:

  • 1310 Vidal Cantu, Laredo, TX 78045
  • Manages all warehouse activities in support of manufacturing operations including but not limited to receiving, storing, picking, and shipping materials.
  • Reviews, analyzes, modifies, and implements efficient and effective department processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains strict inventory control.
  • Ensures accurate and timely shipments and receipts.
  • Enforces established safety guidelines; promotes a safe workplace.
  • Maintains accurate records and metrics; audits as necessary.
  • Performs quarterly and/or annual physical inventories; provides inventory reports.
  • Processes returned, rejected, and obsolete parts.
  • Establishes and maintains professional communication with vendors.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors department budget; manages expenses within approved budget constraints.
  • Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
  • Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops warehouse staff; manages schedules and workflow.
  • Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.
  • Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
  • Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Directly supervises all employees within the Houston Warehouse department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 year experience in the warehousing industry
  • Experience supervising employees
  • Food and beverage experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a MUST

Physical Demands and work environment:

  • Frequently required to stand

  • Frequently required to sit
  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
  • Continually required to talk or hear
  • Frequently utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
  • Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 25 pounds
Salary range for this role is:
$80,000$85,000 USD
