Verition Fund Management LLC (“Verition”) is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008.  Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Trading Analyst to join one of our Macro Teams in Hong Kong. This role focuses on trading and research. The ideal candidate has strong trading floor experience who can monitor the book, support executions and overtime develop into a research and idea-generation contributor. 

Responsibilities

• Monitor live positions and market developments in real time. Flag risk and actionable observations to the PM.
• Support trade executions across FX, FX options, rates, swaps, and futures.
• Synthesize macro development quickly into concise, time-sensitive views.
• Collaborate with the team members on putting ideas into repeatable process.
• Over time, contribute trade ideas and research within the PM's investment framework.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience on a trading floor.
• Macro framework in at least one EM or G10 region - CB policy, rates/FX dynamics.
• Working understanding of FX (spot, forwards, options) and rates (Swaps futures), sufficient to monitor live positions and mange delta hedging independently.
• Strong motivated, and proactive communicator - flags issues in real time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
