Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Hardened Concrete Tester to join our team in Rapid City, South Dakota. This role involves conducting tests on hardened concrete samples to ensure they meet project specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete testing and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tests on hardened concrete samples, including compressive strength, density, and other properties.
- Collect and prepare concrete samples for testing according to industry standards and project requirements.
- Document and report test results accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure quality control and compliance.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accurate results.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures in the laboratory and on-site.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to concrete quality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in construction materials or a related field is a plus.
- Experience in concrete testing and familiarity with relevant industry standards (ACI, ASTM).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements and tests.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Certification in concrete testing (e.g., ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician) is preferred.
