What we’re looking for…

We’re looking for people who let curiosity lead them. We don't expect to have a team of "experts". What we do expect, is for #Team2i to be...

  • Inquisitive
  • Open to challenge and be challenged
  • Taking initiative
  • Accountable

You have experience with various types of software and infrastructure and are passionate about helping to improve the quality of products you work on, through questions, curiosity and exploration. Our projects and clients are diverse, so what we really look for are people driven to develop and expand their skillset and knowledge.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join one of our collaborative engineering teams, working on a large-scale, cloud-based platform with a core focus on data quality and automation.

This is an opportunity to work on a modern engineering project where automation is at the heart of delivery. You'll help assure the quality of complex data processing and services, designing and maintaining automated tests while working closely with developers, business analysts and fellow Quality Engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.

You'll be part of a supportive, experienced team that values continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and engineering best practice. Beyond project delivery, there will also be opportunities to contribute to innovation initiatives that improve tooling, processes and ways of working across both your immediate team and the wider engineering community.

You'll need to be...

  • Deep commercial experience with automation, developing automated tests in Python using PyTest.
  • Experienced with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber/Gherkin.
  • Comfortable testing data-focused applications and using SQL to validate data and investigate issues.
  • Understanding of Python data libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
  • Commercially experienced working with Kubernetes and containerised environments.
  • Experienced integrating automated testing into CI/CD delivery pipelines.
  • Confident using Git and version control as part of collaborative software development.
  • Comfortable debugging automation failures and carrying out root cause analysis.
  • Experienced working with structured data formats such as CSV and JSON.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts and cross-functional engineering teams to build high-quality test coverage from requirements.
  • A collaborative communicator who thrives in Agile delivery environments.
  • Passionate about coaching and mentoring others, supporting the growth of less experienced engineers and helping build a strong engineering culture.
  • Adaptable, proactive and able to balance changing priorities while maintaining high quality standards.

What we can offer you...

  • Leadership pathways tailored to your personal and professional development, providing clear direction for your career at 2i.
  • 26 days annual leave, plus the option to buy or sell up to five additional days.
  • Private Healthcare alongside a range of wellbeing benefits including gym memberships, counselling services and Cycle to Work schemes.
  • Annual performance bonus of up to 10%, linked to both individual and company performance.
  • Flexible hybrid and remote working across the UK.
  • The opportunity to work alongside highly skilled Quality Engineers on modern cloud technologies while continuing to develop your technical and leadership capabilities.

What if you're a partial fit?

Curious? We'd love to hear from you.

We don't believe in the "perfect" hire. What we do believe in is building diverse teams with different perspectives, backgrounds and experiences. If you're passionate about Quality Engineering, eager to learn and excited by solving complex technical challenges, we'd encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet every requirement.
