Job Description: Director, Indirect Spend Position Summary The Director, Indirect Spend is responsible for developing and executing Inspire Medical Systems' enterprise-wide strategy for indirect procurement and strategic sourcing.

This leader will oversee the procurement of services, technologies, equipment, and business support categories that enable organizational growth, operational excellence, and cost-effective scalability. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations & Supply Chain, the Director will partner closely with executive leadership and functional stakeholders to optimize spend, strengthen supplier partnerships, improve business processes, and deliver measurable value across the enterprise. The role will establish sourcing strategies, negotiate complex commercial agreements, drive supplier performance, and build a high-performing procurement organization capable of supporting Inspire's continued growth.

The successful candidate will bring strong business acumen, strategic sourcing expertise, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence decision-making across a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

: Strategic Sourcing & Category Management Develop and execute enterprise sourcing strategies across indirect spend categories, including: Information Technology Professional Services Marketing Facilities Capital Equipment Corporate Services Establish multi-year category strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans. Identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, demand management, standardization, and productivity improvements. Lead market assessments, benchmarking, supplier evaluations, competitive sourcing events, and contract negotiations.

Drive total cost of ownership optimization while ensuring service quality and business continuity. Supplier Relationship Management Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships and governance programs. Lead executive supplier reviews and performance management activities.

Establish supplier scorecards and key performance indicators. Monitor supplier performance, risk, quality, innovation, and compliance. Drive supplier-led innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Financial & Operational Performance Manage enterprise indirect spend to maximize value and support financial objectives. Deliver measurable annual savings, cost avoidance, and operational improvements. Develop spend analytics, dashboards, and reporting for executive leadership.

Partner with Finance to validate savings and track value realization. Ensure contract compliance and preferred supplier utilization. Cross-Functional Leadership Serve as the primary procurement business partner to Finance and Operations teams.
