   Emergency management, public administration, or fire, EMS or military service.

   Free, online, and a near-universal expectation. ICS 100 through 400.

   Get operational experience

   Volunteer with a local emergency management agency or CERT team.

   Certify

   IAEM's CEM is the recognised professional credential.
