Lastly, our customers choose WPI based on the emphasis we place on communication, trust, and respect. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our team. 1 Structural Welding Code and demonstrate proficiency in the 3G (Vertical) position.
This role involves welding, cutting, and fabricating metal components while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in all tasks.
Key Responsibilities
: Perform welding and fabrication tasks using MIG welding techniques in accordance with industry standards and project specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct and assemble components. 1 standards.
Inspect and maintain welding equipment, ensuring all tools are in safe working condition. Measure, cut, and shape metal materials using a variety of tools, such as grinders, torches, and saws. Conduct quality control checks on welds to ensure structural integrity and visual standards.
Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following OSHA guidelines. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.

Requirements
1 certification and demonstrated proficiency in the 3G (Vertical) welding position. Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication (preferred). Strong ability to interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
Knowledge of various metals, including steel. Familiarity with cutting tools, fabrication machinery, and measuring devices. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to lift heavy materials (up to 75 lbs), stand for extended periods, and work in varying environmental conditions. Preferred Skills: Experience with robotic welding systems.
Additional certifications such as OSHA 10/30, forklift operation, or related industry training. Bilingual preferred but not required.
