and industry best practices. Conduct periodic safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including Mechanical Drawings, user manuals, troubleshooting guides, and training materials, to support ongoing operations and knowledge transfer.
Provide training and technical support to operators, maintenance personnel, and production engineers. Knowledge of SAP PM Plant Maintenance Preferred. Location & Travel Expectations : This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
This role requires daily attendance in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time. What You’Ll Do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following: Lead the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards. Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics simulations using software tools like AutoCad, Catia, SolidWorks, or similar. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers, to integrate mechanical systems with other disciplines.
Create and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery. Identify and implement design improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and support their professional development. Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting of existing systems, recommending, and implementing corrective actions. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply them to projects as appropriate.
