Your success story starts here… TEAM AND ROLE: The Trade Operations team sits at the core of executing environmental commodity transactions in a fast-paced and highly regulated trading environment. As part of the Tickets team, we collaborate closely with Trading, Legal, Finance, Policy and Technology teams to ensure that every transaction flows seamlessly through the trade lifecycle, from contract execution and settlement through to payment and post-trade operations.
As a Trade Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the operational backbone of our EV and THG business. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and compliant trade operations, managing contracts and inventory processes, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving continuous process improvements. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine operational excellence, regulatory topics and systems development within a dynamic international trading environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure accurate and timely execution of environmental commodities, contracts, and settlements. Manage EV- and THG contract administration activities, maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance, and documentation. Maintain and reconcile environmental certificate inventories across internal systems and external platforms, ensuring data integrity and operational readiness.
Requirements
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities, helping to enhance operational efficiency and support future system developments.
Bachelor's or master's Degree (or equivalent) in Financial Engineering, Econometrics, Statistics, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Law, Quantitative studies or similar Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in an operational role within a trading environment, or financial markets/energy sector. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage complex processes where accuracy and compliance are critical. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Python, SQL, VBA, Power Query, and/or Power BI is considered a strong advantage. Proactive, adaptable, and ownership-driven, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders. Fluent in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
