Maine Veterinary Medical Center is looking to add a friendly, compassionate and skilled Specialty Coordinator - Neurology to our team! m. m.

As part of our team, you’ll work with the latest technology and collaborate with a positive team to deliver the highest quality of care to our patients and clients alike. Maine Veterinary Medical Center (MVMC) is a Rarebreed practice that has full in-house laboratory capabilities, a fluoroscopy suite for interventional procedures, a helical 64-slice CT, MRI, respiratory ventilator, in-house telemetric monitoring, ultrasound and endoscopy. MVMC has well-staffed departments in Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Radiology, Rehab and Acupuncture and great team of emergency clinicians and criticalists to offer advanced services to a well-educated client base.
What You'Ll Do
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service, addressing concerns with professionalism and empathy, and ensuring a positive experience for both clients and patients. Coordinate and manage appointment scheduling, including maintaining waitlists, following up on missed appointments, and ensuring schedules are accurate and complete. Support client communication by answering phones, triaging medical inquiries, discussing care plans, facilitating urgent patient needs, and directing clients to appropriate resources.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records, appointment histories, client communications, and required documentation. Coordinate the delivery of discharge instructions, lab results, exam summaries, and other medical communications as needed. Assist with financial discussions.
Educate clients on available payment and financing options, including hospital credit programs and pet insurance processes.
Requirements
while promoting efficient workflow and outstanding client service.
Associate degree or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience in customer service required: prior veterinary experience desired but not required. Strong organizational skills.
Strong client relations and interpersonal skills. Strong technical and computer skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
Self-starter and team player. Strong client service background. Friendly, Professional and Compassionate!
