About The Role

We’re looking for a Corporate Counsel to be our first in-house lawyer — and to build the legal foundation the company needs as we move from seed-stage into serious commercial and operational scale. This is not a narrow role. You’ll own everything from day-to-day contracts and commercial agreements to fundraising support, employment matters, IP, and compliance.

You’ll have access to outside counsel for specialized work, but we expect you to handle the majority of legal work internally, manage outside counsel efficiently, and bring genuine judgment — not just process — to everything you touch. You’ll report directly to the Head of Finance & Operations and work in close partnership with the founders. Who You Are

Available for a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week onsite at our Palo Alto office 4–7 years of legal experience, with a combination of law firm training and in-house experience at a technology company preferred JD required; active bar membership in California (or eligibility for registered in-house counsel status) Comfortable across a broad range of legal work — commercial contracts, corporate, employment, and IP — without needing to escalate routine matters Strong redlining and negotiation skills across NDAs, MSAs, SaaS agreements, vendor contracts, and similar commercial documents Experience supporting equity financings or working on transactions alongside outside counsel Sound judgment about what matters and what doesn’t — you don’t over-lawyer, and you understand that your job is to help the business move, not slow it down Highly organized and self-directed — comfortable owning a broad portfolio without a legal team around you Low ego, high output — you’re willing to do the work at whatever level it needs to happ
