About This Role
As our Senior Manager of Accounting you will lead our accounting operations and strengthen the financial foundation of the business. Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll own the monthly, quarterly and year-end close, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and day-to-day accounting operations while partnering cross-functionally to improve financial accuracy, systems, and processes. You will also lead improvements across inventory accounting, product costing and NetSuite transaction processes.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into the details, solving complex problems, and building scalable processes in a fast-paced environment.
What You'Ll Do
S. GAAP. Own journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet integrity, and financial reporting.
Own inventory accounting, product costing, COGS, reserves, returns, and inventory adjustments. Reconcile inventory across NetSuite, warehouse operations, and third-party logistics partners. Partner with Supply Chain, Commercial, and FP&A to improve inventory accuracy, margin reporting, and operational processes.
Serve as the accounting owner for NetSuite transaction flows and accounting processes. Investigate and resolve system, accounting and data issues. Partner with Commercial and FP&A to improve gross margin accuracy, cost control and financial insights.
Support cash management, banking activities, audits, tax compliance, and special projects. Lead and develop a small accounting team while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Establish clear priorities, maintain high-quality work, and support the ongoing growth of the accounting function.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. 8+ years of progressive accounting experience. Experience leading a monthly close and managing accounting team members.
Strong hands-on NetSuite experience. Strong inventory accounting and product costing experience. S.
GAAP and financial reporting. Experience in a consumer products, retail, wholesale or inventory-based business. Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
Strong cross-functional communication and problem-solving abilities. Comfortable working in a hands-on and fast-paced environment. Able to work from our Culver City office Monday through Thursday.
Nice To Haves Experience with average costing, landed costs, freight, duties, returns and inventory reserves. Experience with third-party logistics providers or warehouse systems. CPA or CMA is a plus but not required.
