Convene Hospitality Group is looking for a skilled A1 Audio Engineer to join our expanding production team in New York City. This position offers part-time to full-time hours on a scheduled shift basis.
The A1 Audio Engineer is responsible for managing and operating all aspects of audio production to ensure we deliver an excellent meeting, conference, and workday experience to our clients. This includes setting up, configuring, and operating sound systems, as well as ensuring high-quality audio experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in audio engineering, a keen ear for sound, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
What You’Ll Do
: Audio Setup and Operation: Set up, test, and operate audio equipment for live events, including microphones, speakers, mixing consoles, and playback devices. Sound Quality Management: Ensure optimal sound quality during events by adjusting audio levels, equalization, and other parameters as needed. Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve audio issues during events to minimize disruptions.

Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and clients regarding audio equipment and setups. Safety Compliance : Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and guests.
What We Look For: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an A1 Audio Engineer or similar role in a hospitality or events setting. Proficiency in operating audio equipment, including mixing consoles, microphones, speakers, Dante Network management, and playback devices. Familiarity with digital audio workstations (DAWs) and audio editing software is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail with a strong ear for sound quality and precision.
