Senior - Staff Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a Senior or Staff level Infrastructure Engineer (6-13+ years of experience) to join our Infrastructure team and contribute to the technical foundation of Paperless Post. In this role, you’ll build tools to manage infrastructure and solve operational problems. You modularize, reuse, and version control your infrastructure as code.

You know when to use the latest technologies and when to automate, but still value uptime, performance, and stability. You follow best practices but iterate over your projects quickly and smartly. We want to continue building on our Kubernetes-based platform by extending its capabilities to support more modern architectures and workflows, all in service of providing the best experience possible for our customers.

What You’Ll Do

here Build and work with Kubernetes clusters - and all the related tooling! ) Postgres/RDS specific database administration knowledge Strong system fundamentals - Linux/sysadmin chops, networking knowledge, etc Experience with modern observability best practices You use AI tooling (Claude Code, OpenCode, etc) to modernize and adapt your workflow to the changing infrastructure engineering landscape Some of the tech we use: Our apps run on Kubernetes We are primarily on AWS, though we do use a small assortment of other providers Our primary datastores are PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB We utilize OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Loki, and more systems to aid in system observability Our CI/CD pipelines are primarily driven by CircleCI and ArgoCD AI Usage Note At Paperless Post, we value Being Resourceful, Progress Over Perfection, and being a Positive Force.
