________________________________________ Position: Service Delivery Lead - Surgical Ward Nurse Type of Service: On-site (Surgical Ward for General Surgery and ENT Procedures) Contract Pattern: Saturdays and Sundays Shift patterns: Early 6:45am – 2:45pm, Late 2:00pm – 10:00pm Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: Ongoing _______________________________________ Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Surgical Ward Nurse to join our client’s surgical team in Great Yarmouth. The successful candidate will support General Surgery and ENT procedures during weekend shifts, ensuring efficient patient care and accurate completion of admission and discharge paperwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Support General Surgery and ENT procedures with the theatre team: o General Surgery (6-8 procedures/day): Hernias, Laparoscopic Cholecystectomies, and Exams Under Anaesthetic. o ENT Surgery (6-8 procedures/day): Tonsillectomy, Septoplasty, and Sinus Surgery. • Collaborate with the Xyla theatre team and trust surgeons.

• Provide ward-based support, including: o Admission and discharge paperwork for surgical patients. o Ensuring continuity of care before and after procedures.

Requirements

• Must have relevant theatre team experience. • Must be band 6 and have experience in a lead role • 12 months minimum NHS experience ________________________________________ Apply Now!
