The individual will be supporting in the planning, design, and execution of construction projects.
Responsibilities
. Inspect work on-site to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety guidelines Identify and report issues such as poor workmanship or use of substandard materials with little to no supervision but escalates when necessary Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project progress, materials, and activities Builds and maintains reports, change orders, and other documentation necessary to run an effective project Work with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution Communicate project progress to senior engineers and project managers both internally and externally to the company and clients when required Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction activities and ensure they adhere to safety protocols and engineering
Requirements
Assist in resolving technical challenges, provide input on solutions, and make recommendations based on engineering analysis Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and safety regulations on-site, following established procedures and guidelines Technical Skills: Field Knowledge: A strong understanding of civil/construction engineering principles, modern construction methods, and materials Familiarity with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets & Highways Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify issues early and work toward effective solutions Communication Skills: Proficiency in both verbal and written communication for clear reporting and interaction with team members and clients Attention to Detail: Ability to analyze construction drawings, specifications, and site conditions carefully to ensure quality and compliance Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Experience: 4 years’ experience Education and Certifications: (preferred not required): Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Equivalent Municipal Inspector Certification The base salary range for this role is indicated in the posting.
