-Make a Mark -We Blaze Our Own Trail -Brand First -We Mean Business Summary The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant tax filings across all jurisdictions. This role manages federal, state, local, and industry-specific tax obligations while partnering with Finance, Accounting, Payroll, and external advisors to minimize tax risk and support strategic business initiatives. Working closely with the VP of Accounting and Finance leadership, the Tax Manager develops and maintains tax processes, monitors changes in tax laws and regulations, supports audits and regulatory examinations, provides guidance on tax implications for business operations and organizational growth, and prepares the Company’s tax provisions.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong technical tax expertise, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting a growing, multi-state organization.
across all operating jurisdictions. Manage business sales and use tax, excise tax, franchise tax, property tax, payroll tax, and other applicable tax filings. Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate potential business impacts to leadership.
Tax Planning & Strategy Partner with Finance leadership to develop tax planning strategies that support business objectives and minimize tax exposure. Research tax issues and provide recommendations regarding business transactions, acquisitions, and organizational initiatives. Evaluate tax implications of new products, business operations, and expansion into new markets.
Support long-term tax planning and forecasting activities. Financial Reporting & Accounting Prepare and review tax provisions, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules and disclosures. Collaborate with the Accounting team during month-end and year-end close processes.
Ensure tax accounts within the general ledger are accurate and properly reconciled. Assist with financial statement disclosures related to income taxes. Audits & Regulatory Support Coordinate tax audits, examinations, and information requests from federal, state, and local agencies.
