We are looking for an experienced Modelling and Insights Lead to join our market-leading Australian Energy practice in Sydney or Melbourne. Our global Energy practice offers our clients an unparalleled combination of energy market expertise and commercial insight.

Within this global practice, our Energy Products Business develops and commercialises the firm’s insights and SaaS product offerings, serving clients across approximately 65 countries.

Built on a shared stack of power, gas, energy system and asset models, it brings the firm’s expertise and analytical capability to market in standardised, scalable forms. The team is cross-functional, spanning product management, quantitative modelling, and software and data engineering, organised into small, outcome-focused squads working at the intersection of deep analytical expertise and commercial product delivery. We are now looking for a talented Senior Modelling and Insights expert to join our Energy Products team.

You will be managing the delivery of Baringa’s market leading quarterly Power Market Reports, managing a team of modellers and market experts within our Products Team. You will work at the forefront of our industries, managing and developing new and existing models to analyse the Energy market for a range of blue-chip, global clients. Our market leading growth along with our continued ambitious expansion plans mean that we can continue to offer our employees the progression, development and diverse range of work they are looking for.

What you will be doing Responsible for the delivery of Baringa’s leading quarterly Power Market projections and analytics for Australia, as well as new products due for launch into our global product suite Shape and drive the product roadmap by building a deep understanding of client needs, translating market insights into prioritised development initiatives, and collaborating closely with Commercial and Energy Advisory leadership to ensure alignment with client demand and growth strategy.
