JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Principal Software Engineer serves as the high-level technical authority for software engineering on the Oracle /RHEL Tech Refresh contract based in Colorado Springs, Colorado . This role provides deep technical expertise in enterprise Oracle database architecture, development methodologies, system integration, and emerging technologies.

The candidate collaborates closely with program leadership, architects, engineers, cybersecurity teams, and stakeholders to design and implement advanced software solutions supporting enterprise systems, cloud environments, and mission-critical platforms. 7 while preserving full operational continuity. It includes comprehensive engineering, integration, cybersecurity, testing, and deployment activities to ensure zero data loss, improved performance, strengthened security, and seamless compatibility across all CCIC2S mission systems.

Location will be north Colorado Springs initially and future work at Chidlaw and Peterson AFB occasionally. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Serve as the primary subject matter expert for software engineering practices, frameworks, and architecture across programs and projects. Lead the design and development of Oracle Database Upgrade solution for a complex enterprise .

Provide significant input into the technical solution design and architect the upgrade path for Oracle, including compatibility analysis, data migration strategies, and performance tuning. Provide input into the design for the RHEL migration plan, covering kernel compatibility, package updates, and security hardening.
