We are seeking a motivated Project Manager, Grid Integration to support the development and execution of generator and large-load interconnection activities across United States. This role offers the opportunity to work on some of the largest Data Center Projects and Renewable energy projects in North America while collaborating with experienced engineers, developers, utilities, and market operators. Basic Function: The Project Manager, Grid Integration will support and manage the grid integration interface on data center projects with various internal groups such as Data Center Engineering, Construction, commissioning, development, project execution, utilities.
Working closely with senior members of the Grid Integration team, this individual will coordinate project interconnection activities from early-stage development through commercial operation. The ideal candidate combines strong technical fundamentals with excellent project management and communication skills and is eager to grow into a subject matter expert in RTO specific interconnection and transmission rules.
Key Responsibilities
Utility Coordination, Policy Project Management of Key Projects Coordinate with Utility and the project development team on key interfaces regarding HV design, metering, execution, and other activities. Monitor ERCOT Load Interconnection Queue reform (Batch Zero process), and other ISO/RTO Load interconnection Queue reform and keep the projects compliance on track. Support large-load interconnection and generator interconnection activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist in executing key interconnection agreements. Coordinate with ERCOT, transmission providers, utilities, consultants, and internal project teams. Track project milestones to help maintain development schedules.
Interact with utilities and maintain key relationships. Participate in utility, ERCOT, and stakeholder meetings. Cross-Functional Collaboration Interface with Development, Data Center Engineering, Data Center Construction, Power Projects Engineering Construction, Finance, Strategy, Operations, and Asset Management teams.
Interface with internal projects controls team, AP, keep grid Integration processes up-to date. Support due diligence activities for project financing and acquisitions of key projects. Maintain documentation and regulatory compliance throughout project execution.
Qualifications
/Requirement Bachelor’s degree in business or a related engineering discipline. 3–7 years of experience in power systems, transmission planning, grid integration, utility engineering, or renewable energy development. Working knowledge of ERCOT or any other ISO generator and/or large-load interconnection processes.
