Administrator Otterbein is a vibrant, faith-based, not-for-profit Senior Living Community that offer Independent and Assisted Living, Nursing Care, Memory Care and Rehabilitation in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. Otterbein Jackson, located in Jackson, MI, has an opening for a fulltime Licensed Nursing Home Administrator . The Administrator reports to and partners with the Executive Director to lead the delivery of high quality services in a person centered environment.
Responsibilities
include overseeing departments related to the care and services to our Elders (residents), including but not limited to Activities, Hospice, Medical Records, Nursing, Social Services, Laundry, and Housekeeping. In addition, the Administrator will be responsible for Privacy and Quality Assurance, throughout the Community.
Member of the Leadership Team. Plays a vital role in the Master Planning for the Community. Selects, supervises, coaches, develops and retains a high caliber of staff.
Builds a dynamic team environment that makes Otterbein’s Mission visible through the actions of all Partners (employees) and services. Manages, leads, and facilitates the Quality Assurance process and quarterly meetings. Develops, monitors, and reports statistical information and quality indicators used to evaluate operations and to develop quality improvement plans Assures operations are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations and Otterbein policies and procedures.
Provides leadership in the observance of Residents Rights. Participates in corporate teams to share best practices and work assignments related to corporate operations.
Qualifications
A mission-driven passion for serving older adults Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who are ill, disabled, elderly, and/or emotionally upset. A Change Agent. Must be able to help Partners and Elders through changes by communicating and building excitement and a positive environment for the change.
Strong leadership skills Understand Federal, State and Local regulations and proactively respond to changes in compliance issues and deadlines. Excellent literacy, writing, documentations, communication, and interpersonal skills Education: Bachelor's in Health/Long-Term Administration, Business, Gerontology, or related field, preferred.
