About The Role
: At Archer, we’re scaling production of our High Voltage Electric Propulsion System — the heart of our eVTOL aircraft, which includes the High Voltage Battery, Electric Motor and Propeller assemblies and represents one of the most technically demanding, highly automated manufacturing systems in our factory. We’re seeking a Sr. Process and Equipment Engineer to play a critical role in keeping the powertrain manufacturing systems running at peak performance.
This role sits on the Manufacturing Design Engineering group and owns the reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement of advanced powertrain manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment. You'll join the team that best matches your skills: HVPS, EPS, or Automation Controls. You’ll be hands-on, deeply technical, and accountable for solving complex manufacturing problems—often under real production pressure.
The ideal candidate brings strong engineering judgment, a structured problem-solving mindset, and a bias for action. You’ll own a core technical domain while expanding your impact across our automated equipment and manufacturing ecosystem. We are open to candidates with a mechanical/process focus, controls/automation focus, or a strong blend of both.
What You’Ll Do
, 5 Whys, DMAIC, 8D) Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics Clear communicator with a high-ownership, bias-for-action mindset Technical Depth: You bring deep expertise in at least one area, with the expectation to grow into adjacent systems: Equipment Design & Specifications Process Development & MES Controls / Automation (PLCs, industrial systems) Robotics or advanced manufacturing equipment Working knowledge of automated assembly, test systems, industrial sensors/actuators, and factory systems is expected and will deepen over time.
Qualifications
