Responsibilities

Uses and stores equipment and supplies effectively, efficiently and safely per established guidelines. Uses authorized chemicals and agents as directed and be familiar with their individual MSDS information sheet. Cleans own equipment and cart at end of shift.

Follows facility infection control and standard precautions policies and procedures. Uses personal protective equipment when necessary. Reports all equipment repair needs to Director in a timely manner.

Communicates effectively and maintains confidentiality. Respects and maintains residents’ dignity, individuality, privacy and confidentiality. Promotes positive public relations for the facility.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions. Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Ability to use cleaning equipment and appropriate products.
