STR — Midland, Texas
This position is responsible for the maintenance and documentation of turbine engines within WhiteWater assets. This position will be based out of Midland, TX.
Responsibilities
: Coordinate between contractors, Project Execution, Field Operations, and Control Room for commissioning activities. Ensure that up to date drawings are available on site. Work with Supervisors to provide WhiteWater coverage schedule during commissioning and periodic inspections.
Provide updates on schedule for commissioning. PSSR Purge Leak checks Cold loop checks Hot loop checks Site comms Air Compressor commissioning Generator commissioning OQs Startup Performance test Provide weekly updates during pre-commissioning. Provide daily updates during commissioning.
Coordinate with Upkeep Admin to ensure that equipment is in Upkeep. Coordinate with Upkeep Admin to make sure commissioning documentation is put into Upkeep. Assist with overhauls and inspections as needed.
Work with Solar Fleet Managers to track repeat shutdowns and create action plans to drive to resolution. Work with Ops Directors and Supervisors to close out reliability issues. Work with Asset Engineer and the Project Execution team on any reliability issues that need be included in original design.
Requirements
Attend safety trainings, maintain required certifications to perform job duties, set example of high safety standards and assist in regulatory inspections Occasional travel, including overnight visits, to other compressor locations will be required
Maintain compliance with WWM’s drug and alcohol program Proficient in Microsoft Office, various operating systems and perform basic math skills Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays and respond to call outs and emergencies Knowledge of reading and interpreting charts, assembly and instruction manuals Knowledge and experience using measurement tools as well as complex equipment including Bolting, Hydraulic Bolting, Flange Management, Small Bore Piping, Basic Rigging/Lifting, and follow Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines Ability to work in changing climate conditions Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules Excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluency in English is required Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 75 lbs. and be able to work in tight spaces, climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders, walkways, etc. Experience with turbine control systems and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
: High School Diploma, or equivalent At least 5 years of related experience maintaining machinery, and industrial service equipment including turbines, fans, motors, generators, and pumps.
