About The Role
Muon seeks a Microwave Systems Lead to spin up and lead a microwave instruments and data products team at Muon. This is a cornerstone position where you will be responsible for all elements of Muon’s microwave remote sensing capabilities; from instrument design and hardware engineering through digital signal processing and data product production. You will be the primary technical point of contact with customers, external partners, and internal engineering resources, drive internal knowledge and capability building, and act as the Mission Scientist for all missions carrying microwave remote sensing instruments.
This position is hybrid and requires working on-site in our San Jose, CA office three days per week.

Qualifications
PhD or Master’s degree in relevant field plus 5+ years of professional experience Extensive background in design and hardware engineering of microwave instruments Deep understanding of DSP implementation for microwave instruments Familiarity with the generation of data products from microwave remote sensing Excellent communication, presentation, and coordination skills Excited to work in a fast-paced environment Microwave systems preferred would include leadership, programmatics, and customer experience
