What you’ll need ● Sanctions Expertise: 3-5+ years of experience in a financial crime compliance role, with a dedicated focus on sanctions advisory, complex alert adjudication, or sanctions investigations. ● Regulatory Knowledge: Deep working knowledge of international sanctions regimes (particularly OFAC, OFSI, and EU) and an understanding of the legal concepts surrounding asset freezing, ownership/control rules, and sectoral restrictions.
● Technical Skills: Proficiency in navigating and investigating corporate registries to unwrap complex UBO structures. , LexisNexis, Dow Jones, FircoSoft) and case management systems. ● Analytical Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to interpret dense legal/regulatory text and translate it into practical, easy-to-understand business advice.

What You’Ll Do
● Sanctions Advisory Escalations: Serve as the SME for the business and first-line defense teams. Review and adjudicate complex Level 2/Level 3 sanctions escalations, providing clear, actionable advice on proposed transactions, trade finance deals, and high-risk client onboardings. , OFAC, HM Treasury/OFSI, EU, UN).
Analyze the impact of new designations, general licenses, and sectoral sanctions on Ebury's operations and advise stakeholders accordingly. ● Policy Governance: Assist in the continuous improvement of the Group Sanctions Policy.
