Position Summary: We are currently seeking a High School Civics & Economics teacher to join us for the 2026-27 SY.

The ideal candidate is responsible for supporting students’ success by ensuring the school day structure runs efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students. We are currently seeking a teacher to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in an elementary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential, in line with the mission and standards of Belmont Charter Network.

This is a 10-month position that is supervised by a member of the school leadership team.

Responsibilities

: Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals. Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes student learning and participation. Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instructional methods. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance. Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and school administrators.

Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning. Execute school-wide duties in accordance with school rules and procedures such as lunch, recess, hallway, or other duties in the school as assigned. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.

Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. Participate in department, school, district, and parent meetings.
