Our teams are at the frontier of the Nation's most complex and rewarding challenges. Join our team. Barbaricum is seeking a Journeyman Data Analyst to assess, process, and support data collection while providing high-impact analytical decision-support and strategic analysis of assessment data.
This role directly supports the execution of policies, plans, and strategies for the anticipated Headquarters Air Force Mission Assurance (MA) Program . 45 .
Responsibilities
Interface directly with senior leaders and capability providers to deliver quantitative, data-driven clarity on Mission Assurance (MA) risks and strategic operational readiness. Formulate rigorous tasking packages and official staffing materials backed by predictive analytics to justify resource allocations across military command channels. Design and deploy decision-support products , automated data workflows, and monitoring views inside secure enterprise platforms like Palantir Foundry and Advana.
Model and mathematically forecast multiple Courses of Action (COAs) to provide commanders with clear success probabilities and asset degradation metrics. Construct algorithmic ROI decision models to evaluate the financial and operational trade-offs of proposed security enhancements and infrastructure upgrades. Quantify the "cost of inaction" by mapping threat probabilities against asset replacement costs and potential mission failure impacts.
Synthesize complex data outputs into executive-level visual dashboards, briefs, and information papers tailored for general officer consumption. Conduct data-driven risk-mitigation analysis to identify critical structural vulnerabilities and single points of failure across strategic military networks. Leverage AI/ML methodologies to extract actionable risk indicators from unstructured datasets and historical assessment documentation.
Bridge the gap between capability providers and data engineers to ensure that pipeline data architecture accurately maps to real-world mission capabilities.
Qualifications
Clearance: Active DoD TS Clearance required. Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree Preferred. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience with DoW, specifically dealing with critical infrastructure, readiness, or operations.
Certifications: Palantir AI Certification preferred. Passport & Travel: Valid US passport; ability to travel CONUS or OCONUS approximately 25% of the time. Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills with people at all levels.
