HVAC Service Technician Position Summary We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing commercial and light commercial HVAC systems. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment, including: Heat pumps Split systems Rooftop units Small chillers LG HVAC systems and VRF equipment Air handling units and associated controls Perform preventative maintenance and service inspections. Start up and commission HVAC equipment, including condensers and heat pump systems. Install, repair, and replace HVAC components as needed.
Braze and solder copper refrigerant piping. Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging procedures. Pull and verify system vacuums using proper industry practices.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals. Complete service reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in a clean and professional manner.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of HVAC service experience preferred. Experience servicing heat pumps, small chillers, split systems, and LG equipment. Ability to troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical issues.
Proficient in brazing copper piping and refrigerant piping installation. Experience pulling vacuums, charging systems, and performing equipment startups. EPA Refrigerant Certification required.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage daily service calls.
