The Role The Senior Project Engineer for Voyager’s Strategic Systems line of business is responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs — from concept through qualification — ensuring delivery on cost, schedule, and technical performance commitments. This position reports to the Program Manager, Solid Rocket Motors and is part of Voyager’s Strategic Systems line of business based in Penrose/Pueblo, Colorado.
This role is onsite in Penrose/Pueblo, Colorado. Essential Functions In this role, the essential functions are: Lead execution of solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs from proposal through qualification, owning/reporting schedule, cost (via earned value management principles), and technical performance from day one.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, or closely related science or engineering field with 7 years of combined technical engineering and project engineering or project management experience OR 11 years of combined experience in lieu of a degree. We value candidates who bring both hands-on technical depth and program execution experience; the balance across these areas will vary by candidate.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in propulsion, energetics, or defense programs, with hands-on experience supporting solid rocket motor or munitions development from concept through fielding. Strong technical expertise in hardware design, manufacturing, or a closely related discipline within defense, space, or aerospace programs.
