Responsibilities

: Measure, cut, and shape stones using hand or power tools to fit specific project

Requirements

Prepare surfaces for stone installation by cleaning, leveling, and ensuring proper substrate conditions. Apply adhesive between stones and seal surfaces as needed for enhanced durability and appearance. Install all types of stone materials, including natural stone, tiles, and masonry products, in both interior and exterior spaces.

Ensure accurate alignment, spacing, and leveling of stones to achieve the desired aesthetic and structural outcome. Identify and repair damaged or chipped stones as needed during the installation process. Perform restoration work on existing stone installations to maintain their integrity and appearance.

Conduct thorough inspections of completed stone installations to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards. Promptly address any defects or issues to meet client expectations. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of tools and equipment.

Work collaboratively with other construction professionals, including architects, designers, and project managers, to achieve project goals. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless coordination of stone installation activities.

Qualifications

: High School Diploma or GED required. Meticulous to ensure precise measurements and installation. Familiarity with different cutting and shaping tools used in stone installation.

Proficiency in the installation of various stone materials, including natural stone and tiles. Knowledge of adhesion techniques and sealing methods. Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.

Physical fitness and stamina for manual labor and lifting heavy materials. Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to a safe working environment.

Preferred Qualifications

: Proven experience as a Stone Installer in the construction industry. More than 7 years’ experience installing natural stone, tiles, and masonry products. Expert proficiency in the use of cutting and shaping tools for stone materials.

Ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and blueprints.
