Join Our Team at Newburgh Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Assistant! Do you have a passion for animals and love providing top-notch care? We’re looking for a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our amazing team.

In this role, you’ll be hands-on in the daily care of our patients and boarders—ensuring they are happy, healthy, and well cared for. Provide daily care for patients and boarders, including feeding, watering, walking, bathing, and cleaning. Safely handle and restrain pets when needed.

Monitor pet behavior and overall well-being, reporting any concerns to medical staff. Support the veterinary team with patient care and treatment needs. Create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for every pet in our care.

Prior animal care experience (kennel, shelter, vet clinic, or similar). Physical ability to lift/move large pets and equipment. Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently.

Compassionate and attentive to pets’ needs, with the ability to recognize signs of stress or illness. A positive, team-oriented attitude—smiles and laughter encouraged! Willingness to learn and grow in the veterinary field.

Must pass reference checks, background check, and drug screening.
