What You'Ll Do

In This Role: The Personal Care Attendant (PCA) is a versatile caregiver who provides compassionate, person-centered support to adults age 55 and older in an Adult Foster Care setting. This role assists with personal care, medications, meals, housekeeping, and life enrichment activities while helping maintain a safe, home-like environment. The PCA supports participants in achieving the highest level of independence, dignity, and quality of life through everyday care and connection.

Maintain reliable attendance, including weekends and holidays as scheduled Participate in required training and team meetings Provide excellent customer service by fostering a respectful, home-like environment that honors participant preferences The above is a summary of the position, it in no way states or implies that these are the only duties this position will be required to perform. Current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the State of Michigan from an accredited program preferred 1-3 years of experience working with the frail elderly, long-term care population, or individuals receiving end-of-life care required Current CPR certification or willing to obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.

Physical ability to assist with participant transfers, mobility, and activities of daily living (ADLs). Reliable transportation Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, compassion, professionalism, and high ethical standards when working with participants, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Work independently and collaboratively with flexibility, integrity, and strong problem-solving abilities in a dynamic environment.
