Colorado is a year round weather state with frequent winter storms, severe weather in the spring and summer and fires and floods that can happen any time. This is a part-time, as needed role.

Responsibilities

: The key responsibility is the ability to predict the future, in terms of what's going to happen with weather today, tonight, tomorrow and next week. 9NEWS Weather Impact Team Meteorologists prepare and present multiple weather reports in a day, using all the resources available to us including graphics, video and live cameras provided by the 9NEWS staff as well as user generated content. Meteorologists also interact with other members of the on-air staff to produce a superior viewing experience.

Requirements

: Three to five years of experience as an On-Air Broadcast Meteorologist is required. Degree in Meteorology as well as a certification from the National Weather Service or the American Meteorological Society is preferred. The ability to produce and deliver smooth on-air weather reports several times each day is required.
