About The Role
Uber Freight is looking for experienced customer service professionals with a background in the Transportation, Supply Chain or Logistics field. Our Team Leads will lead transportation functions to ensure accurate, timely delivery of products in the most efficient and cost-effective manner all while providing excellent customer service to our customers. This position follows a hybrid schedule based in Dallas, TX at customer site (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
What the Candidate Will Do Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer, executing operational requests and aligning daily workflows with customer-directed priorities. Brand Advocacy: Act as a brand ambassador for Uber Freight, maintaining a positive professional demeanor to strengthen client relationships and promote company services. Operational Problem Solving Continuous Improvement: Proactively resolve conflicts, identify performance patterns, and implement process improvements to optimize cost, service, and profitability.
Reporting Financial Analysis: Develop and distribute internal and customer performance reports; review and analyze account P Ls to ensure cost expectations are met. TMS SOP Maintenance: Manage TMS updates (rates, configurations, and tables) and document, execute, and regularly review customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Team Leadership: Monitor daily workflows and hold the team accountable for executing all key job functions.
Carrier Procurement Capacity Sourcing: Secure freight capacity by leveraging market data, multi-modal knowledge (modes, weights, volumes), and auction tools to efficiently procure carriers. Rate Negotiation Relationship Management: Negotiate spot-rate and contract pricing for new and existing business; establish strong carrier relationships to secure capacity during tight markets. Escalations On-Call Support: Manage approvals for expedited shipments or rates exceeding benchmark thresholds, and participate in after-hours "on-call" rotations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent 3+ years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree Transportation/Supply Chain or related field 3-5 years of freight brokerage, logistics or customer service including background in LTL and TL modes Ability to run BI reports; validate information; understand report and offer feedback on report Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Google Workspace including but not limited to VLookup, Pivot Tables and advanced formulas Transportation industry knowledge
