About Mob Entertainment Mob Entertainment is the independent studio behind Poppy Playtime , one of the world's most recognizable horror game franchises. We create memorable worlds filled with atmosphere, mystery, and environmental storytelling that captivate millions of players across PC and console. We're looking for a Contract Environment Prop Artist to join our Environment Art team and help bring our worlds to life.
This role is ideal for an artist who enjoys building high-quality game-ready props, thrives in a collaborative environment, and can quickly contribute to an established visual style. The Role As a Contract Environment Prop Artist , you will work closely with the Environment Art team to create and polish a wide variety of environmental props that support gameplay, storytelling, and world building. You'll help produce assets that fit seamlessly into our levels while maintaining high artistic and technical quality.

This is a contract position and requires someone who can quickly integrate into an existing production pipeline and deliver consistently high-quality work.
Responsibilities
Create high-quality, game-ready environmental props from concept through final implementation. Create, UV, and prepare high-quality environmental assets using mid poly, trim sheet and floater workflows. Produce assets that match Mob Entertainment's artistic style and visual quality.
Optimize assets for performance while maintaining visual fidelity. Work from concept art, photo reference, design documentation, or existing style guides. Collaborate closely with ELevel Designers to support level production and asset needs.
Implement assets into Unreal Engine and perform basic scene setup as needed. Participate in art reviews and respond constructively to feedback. Maintain organized source files and follow naming conventions and pipeline standards.
Assist with asset polish and support environment production during milestone delivery. Communicate progress proactively and identify potential production risks early.
Qualifications
Required 4+ years of professional experience creating game-ready environment props. Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality hard surface and environment prop work trimming floater and mid poly workflows. Experience with Unreal Engine.
Proficiency in Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max. Experience with Substance Designer and PBR texturing workflows. Strong understanding of topology, UV layout, optimization, and efficient asset creation.
Knowledge of modular asset creation and reusable asset pipelines. Ability to work from feedback while maintaining artistic consistency. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote production environment.
Nice To Have
Experience shipping PC or console titles. Familiarity with horror, semi-stylized realism, or atmospheric game environments. Experience with Substance Painter, ZBrush, or Marvelous Designer.
Experience creating modular environment kits. Understanding of collision setup, LOD creation, and optimization in Unreal Engine 5. Familiarity with Perforce, Jira, and Confluence.
