As a Data Governance & Catalog Specialist at AFS, you will implement and manage the data cataloging and metadata strategy for the product.
Responsibilities
Lead the integration and operationalization of the automated metadata publishing service tool to automate metadata extraction and the application of classification and security tags. Ensure that all data products within the data catalog are accurately tagged, described, and governed according to DoW policies, making them "readily consumable". Work with data owners to define and enforce data quality rules and access control policies.
This role acts as part of the "Enabling Team" that supports domain data providers and consumers.
Qualifications
Experience with data cataloging tools and automated tagging platforms. Familiarity with Palantir Foundry's data governance features is also beneficial. Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality.
