Veterinary Assistant **$500 sign-on bonus** Parker Animal Care is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant to work alongside our team of experienced veterinarians, skilled technicians, and devoted support staff to ensure each animal receives the best possible individualized care during their stay with us. Schedule: Hospital is open Monday - Saturday. Typically 4 - 10hr shifts per week, depending on needs of hospital, alternating Saturdays required. 2 week rotating set schedule.

Shifts between 8am-6pm or 7am-5pm depending on the day.

Key Responsibilities

: Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeries Gain knowledge of common diseases, their symptoms, and means of transmission Gain knowledge of preventative health care recommendations to answer questions and assist in marketing veterinary services from which clients’ pets would benefit Safely restrain patients during examinations, injections, and treatments while understanding learning the individual needs of the pet.

Qualifications

: Professional, cheerful and helpful attitude when interacting with pet owners providing exceptional customer service Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary setting. Technical know-how in areas such as disinfection, administering medication, and using diagnostic equipment. Physical ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
