Role: Systems Design Engineer Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE Hours: 37 hours per week | between 08:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 13:00 Friday Salary: between £40,000 and £60,000 pa DOE Are you interested in creating innovative vehicle systems and seeing how electrical, mechanical and communication technologies work together? We're looking for a Systems Design Engineer to join our Engineering team in Warwick. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design, development, validation and integration of vehicle systems across our product range, working collaboratively with engineers, suppliers and stakeholders across the business.
Requirements
, support validation activities, and ensure vehicle systems perform as intended throughout the development lifecycle.
and architectures Capturing stakeholder needs and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards Supporting the integration of electrical, mechanical and communication systems Creating electrical interconnection schematics and supporting documentation Supporting vehicle commissioning, validation and fault-finding activities Contributing to DVP R planning, validation and verification activities Working closely with software, testing and engineering teams to deliver effective system solutions Reviewing test results and supporting continuous improvement throughout product development
capture and management throughout the development lifecycle Experience working with system architectures, validation activities and the V-model The ability to communicate technical information clearly to a range of audiences Strong analytical and problem-solving skills The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail Experience with electrical schematics and system commissioning activities Knowledge of CANbus, ISO26262, Functional Safety, or automotive/off-highway systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
