What You Will Do
: The Site Behavior Support Technician is an RBT-certified paraprofessional that provides enhanced on-site behavioral expertise and operational support for Pediatrics Plus ABA programs utilizing a telehealth BCBA service delivery model. The Site Behavior Support Technician bridges the gap between RBT-level service delivery and BCBA clinical oversight by serving as the primary on-site behavioral resource, acting as a liaison between telehealth BCBAs and on-site RBT teams, and providing immediate responsiveness to clinical situations that arise during service delivery.
Requirements
Direct ABA Service Delivery Implement behavior intervention plans under the close, ongoing supervision of the BCBA. Collect and record behavioral data accurately and in a timely manner. Follow treatment protocols and procedures as directed by the supervising BCBA.
Responsibilities
and ethical obligations in accordance with the BACB Ethics Code. Store all session notes, data, graphs, and documentation in the designated software system (deTASO) in compliance with HIPAA. Enhanced On-Site Clinical Support Serve as the primary on-site behavioral resource and first point of contact for urgent clinical matters when the BCBA is not immediately available.
Respond to immediate behavioral situations or crises requiring real-time, in-person intervention. Provide real-time consultation to RBTs during challenging client behaviors. Model appropriate intervention techniques and behavior management strategies.
Conduct safety assessments and implements emergency protocols as needed. RBT Team Support and Mentorship Provide on-the-job coaching, modeling, and immediate feedback to RBTs to support implementation fidelity. Assist with RBT onboarding and training as directed.
Answer procedural and protocol questions and facilitates peer learning and skill development among RBTs. Note: The Site Behavior Support Technician does not conduct formal RBT supervision for certification purposes. All RBT certification supervision must be provided by a qualified BCBA.
Telehealth BCBA Service Facilitation Set up technology and ensures connectivity for telehealth sessions. Coordinate schedules and logistics for remote supervision sessions. Serve as on-site facilitator during telehealth observations and meetings.
Troubleshoot technical issues during remote sessions and provides environmental support to enable effective telehealth delivery. Site Operations Support Serve as the liaison between the telehealth BCBA and the on-site team, communicating urgent clinical updates as needed. Coordinate material preparation and session setup.
Assist with data collection and documentation workflows. Support continuity of care during BCBA transitions or absences.
