*Candidates must possess a current ICC certification as Commercial Electrical Inspector to apply. *Successfully hired Candidates must provide Proof of NFPA 70E standards training within the last 3 years and Proof of Cal-OSHA 30 hr. training within the last 4 years, prior to assignment *Successfully hired candidates must have LAWA SIDA badge prior to official start.
*Must be able to work any assigned shift - day, swing, or night - as required to meet the contractor’s construction schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
• Electrical/IT inspection staff shall have 3 years or more experience performing electrical/IT inspections for Building Construction. • Current ICC Certification as a Commercial Electrical Inspector • Proof of NFPA 70E standards training within the last 3 years • Proof of Cal-OSHA 30 hr. training within the last 4 years • Training knowledge of NFPA -70, 70E, 72.
• Fall protection and harness training.
Preferred Qualifications
and Experience: • Experience at the journey-level as an electrician, with a focus on the installation and repair of electrical systems in public works, institutional, commercial, or industrial settings. • Experience overseeing and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations on significant construction projects. • Involvement in complex projects that require coordination with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and city officials.
• Expertise in identifying and addressing deficiencies, ensuring that all aspects of construction meet the required standards. • Must be open to learning the prescriptive items required by the agency.

Education/Training • High school diploma (or equivalent) Essential Job Duties • Conduct comprehensive daily inspections of electrical and IT systems across building and terminal construction projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and project specifications, review and interpret construction documents including blueprints and shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders. • Demonstrates strong proficiency in preparing comprehensive daily inspection reports that clearly document the WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, and HOW of all observed construction activities, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and accountability in tracking progress and identifying issues, deficiencies, or safety concerns in a timely manner.
