In addition to standard processing, the incumbent will be involved with CRA compliance, Canada Labour Code compliance, taxable benefit administration, and policy development.
in strict accordance with CRA guidelines, ensuring accurate year-end T4 reporting Lead the year-end process, including the reconciliation and filing of T4s, WCB, EHT’s, and other compliance forms In collaboration with the Financial Controller and HR, develop and document formal payroll and leave policies to ensure consistency across the organization Identify gaps in current payroll workflows and initiate continuous improvement protocols to automate or streamline data entry and reporting Monitor Canada Labour Code compliance, ensuring all payroll activities meet federal standards and employment contract obligations where applicable Act as the point of contact for internal/external audits and government inquiries regarding payroll matters Support the finance department with cash accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable cycles where necessary Must haves: Minimum 4 years’ payroll and accounting experience in a medium-to-large organization Completion of the Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation Diploma in an accounting-related field or equivalent experience Experience with the Canada Labor Code and various payroll contracts or agreements A strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust that we have built with passengers, partners, and communities Enthusiasm for contributing to our unique mission, whether that’s through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support Must be a legally entitled to work in Canada Nice to haves: Experience working in a multi-company environment Previous aviation experience Ready to join us?
