Forbion, a leading life sciences venture capital firm, is looking for a finance professional to take ownership of the financial operations of our investment funds. The Opportunity: As Fund Controller, you will be responsible for the financial management and operational oversight of several venture capital investment funds throughout their lifecycle.

Working closely with the Investment, Investor Relations and Legal teams, you will oversee all fund operations from investor closings, prepare capital calls for portfolio investments, quarterly investment valuations, investor reporting and distributions. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, ownership and collaboration are essential. Whilst we expect you to take ownership of your own funds over time, you will receive sufficient guidance, coaching and on-the-job training to help you develop in the role.

What You Will Do

: Fund Accounting Fund Operations Manage the financial operations of multiple venture capital investment funds. Maintain complete fund accounting records and oversee the financial lifecycle of each fund. Monitor fund liquidity and oversee treasury and cash management.

Capital Calls Distributions Prepare and execute capital calls and investor drawdowns. Coordinate investment funding and other fund cash movements. Calculate and process investor distributions.

Maintain investor commitment schedules and capital accounts. Valuations Investor Reporting Prepare quarterly valuations together with the Investment team. Prepare quarterly and annual investor reporting.

Prepare fund financial statements and NAV calculations. Audit, Tax Compliance Strong involvement in the annual fund audits and year-end financial reporting.

Requirements

Business Partnership Continuous Improvement Partner closely with the Investment, Investor Relations and Legal teams throughout the investment lifecycle. Act as a key contact for investors and external service providers on fund-related matters. Identify opportunities to improve fund processes, controls and reporting as the business continues to grow.
